索樂居@牛車水 (Hotel Soloha @ Chinatown)

前台服務態度相當不敢恭維。剛入住時，發現前台赫然貼著一張紙：要尊重服務人員，不要大喊大叫。相當奇葩的提醒。本不以為意。結果，到房間發現沒有空調，空調機沒有可以打開的地方。智能面板上所有的按鍵全部試了一遍，沒有用。於是到前台詢問，對方説，用智能面板上的按鈕開就好了。表明不行時，對方説，那我們叫電工去修一下看看。你回房間等著。我説，房間溫度比室外還高。她説，那你就在這兒等吧。整個過程連一個簡單的微笑和抱歉都沒有，反倒似乎是我在找事兒一樣。壓住不快，等了一會，對方沒有任何錶示。我終於忍不住問了一句，大概需要我等多久？對方居然相當無理地説，我告訴你在這裡等就好了，好了就告訴你。我相當不解的説，我衹是想問需要等多久，如果時間長，我可以先出去轉轉再回來，這個有問題嗎？對方相當不滿，説，我怎麼知道，電工可能還有別的工作，本來已經讓你回房間等了…… …… 相當無語。其實，電工已經上去了。一分鐘後，告訴我你回房吧。結果上去，你猜如何，電工告訴我，沒問題了，他把空調遙控器送到了房間！ 原來房間忘了配遙控器！ 其次，如果沒有空調，整個下水管道的味道還是蠻明顯的。而且由於水管通路問題，其他房間用水，我的房間回有非明顯的下水水流聲音。 其實酒店周邊環境相當不錯，是非常紅的網紅打卡點，老建築，非常漂亮。酒店唯一的亮點是床其實挺舒服的。 總算明白了前台“溫馨提示”的緣由，哈哈哈

This is the most unpleasant experience in my entire life. on check-in, I was 'upgraded' to a loft so to speak. and what an upgrade! You find bedside lamps hanging off the wall on their wire (see picture). There is no hot water so I have to live with cold water and floor panels popping out.. you name it, anything you would find in a flea motel, it is there. when I feedback to the front desk, I was told they would change me to another room but I had to come back to move my stuff. So I cut short my night out just to move my stuff, only to find out that they had actually moved my stuff for me. I have a DO NOT DISTURB sign on and my valuables, which include my passport, were not secured and they have simply barged into my room and gone through my stuff. PLUS... they manage to throw my things away, simply because they think it is trash. So the night manager apologized, but my stuff is gone. Fast forward to the next morning, I am working in the room and went out for smokes only to find out that someone came into my room, yet again, even when the DO NOT DISTURB sign is on. And when I spoke to the front desk about giving feedback, along the way during the conversation, this character by the name of CHEN simply retorted: I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU. So if you are looking for - 100% invasion of privacy - tackless character manning the front desk (Shout out to Chen) - having your belongings thrown away... Book this hotel... you won't be disappointed. And for $200 a night... you might find more value at the budget hotel across the road.

My sister wanted to do a staycation for her birthday. She picked this boutique hotel as the suite photo was very beautiful. The hotel was conveniently located between Maxwell, Chinatown and Outrum MRT. It has easy access to food and bars! I sat in the lobby to do my work before checking in at 3pm. The malay male staff was very warm and friendly, which made the wait very comfortable! At 3pm, we got our keys to the room. Very excitedly my sis rushed to the room. To her horror, the room did not look like the photo that was advertised. The room had a narrowed corridor and slim toilet with a bed snuggled in the corner. There were no windows which made the room very small and cluttered. The room was covered in dust and the sheets had stains. My sister was sneezing uncontrollably. When we opened the balcony, we were shocked to see that it was shared with the other room. There was only a wooden divider that separated the balcony. The chairs and tub were dirty, which was shocking considering the price we paid. I went down to the counter to verify if they had gave us the keys to the wrong room. Unfortunately, there were 2 rooms with the tub in the balcony, and the one that was advertised was the other room that was occupied. They didn't allowed a refund, so they offered a downgrade to another room - loft or a delux room with no window. We ended up settling for the loft. The toilet was very cramped and it didn't came with a bidet. The rainshower was pretty good, the soap and shampoo provided also was not bad. It didn't dry out my hair. The bed was acceptable but you'll only get 1 pillow each. They provided hairdryer, toothbrush, vanity kit and comb. My favourite part about this place is the unlimited access to soft drinks- grass jelly, soya bean etc. that can be taken from the lobby. Downside: cleanliness, bad use of space, no bidet in the toilet, no windows for some room Upside: friendly staffs and unlimited bottled water, soft can drinks in the lobby

Good things: The location of this Hotel was really good. Walking distance to the right goes to the heart of China Town & walking distance to the left goes to the train station & bus stops. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom amenities were great! Bad things: The toilet room is so small that there is not enough room to close the toilet door while sitting on the loo!! The staff didn’t say hello unless you say hello first. When I asked for ideas, suggestions of where to go, they had no idea and got more info from Google. They also only gave one key rather than two so we had to plan thing’s carefully if we were going different places.

The loft not so convenient and easily knock my head few times but overall nice & trendy hotel. Location also superb

I was “upgraded” to the loft, but it was fine. I did bang my leg on those stairs once though. 😅 The room was clean and the area was decent, though I chose to stay in Friday night and heard music and chatter from the nearby bars until 3am. Other than that, my stay was pleasant.

This Hotel Soloha near to Chinatown and its very cozy. The staff gave us a free upgrade from a normal room to a loft room. Appreciate for the free upgrade.

The location was great! Close to lots of cute shops and restaurants and only a short walk from the metro. The room was clean and neat. Check in and check out was easy. The staff was friendly. I stayed on the 4th floor and the only con was that at night, you could hear some music from outside, but it wasn’t too loud. Still, it didn’t ruin my stay in any way. Would stay here again.

Very cozy hotel. I loved my entire stay there. The staff were pleasant and attended to all my needs. Easy access to MRT and the hugh plus is there are a lot of eateries around.
